| About as good as it gets for longboards the Randal R-II series is the truck to go with. The 180 is a little more stable for longer boards and the 150 is tighter on the crave and for shorter and narrower boards.
Most people choose the 180 for just about any board though, even ones as short as 28in long and 7.5in wide!
Randal also has a new R-II 125 which is really what you should use for Mini's. It's toight as a Toiger!
The R-II Series feature heavy gussets around the areas that see the highest loads, further strenghtening the design.
The 'cast in' axle makes for a much stronger hanger than pressing the axle in. This process requires another heat treatment and a Grade 8 axle, but provides for a longer lasting truck than a traditional 'press in' axle. This process is also a little more costly, but Randal is a firm believer that you shouldn't cut corners on skateboard trucks.

About Randal...
Randal Trucks are made right here in Southern California, with some of the toughest air quality regulations in the world. We employ local labor, and puchase shop supplies from local vendors. We try in every way to minimize the amount of travel required to bring you our quality product, beginning with manufacturing right here in America. We feel that with all the environmental problems, and human rights violations, it would be pretty hypocritical of us to make trucks in China. It's a quality you can trust when you are pushing your trucks to the limit. Thanks for caring... |
